By Plane, Bus, and Train

If you are arriving in town by plane, bus or train, the campus is best reached by mass transit, with little or no foot travel required.

From the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP): Take the METRO Blue Line light rail northbound (in the Downtown Minneapolis direction) to the 46th Street Station. Transfer to the A Line (bus rapid transit) or the #84 bus northbound to the stop at Snelling Avenue and Grand Avenue (Approximately 35-45 minutes).

From Union Depot in St. Paul: This location is the drop-off point for Amtrak trains and Jefferson Lines, Greyhound, and Megabus buses. From there, take the #63 Metro Transit bus westbound to the stop at Grand Avenue and Snelling Avenue (Approximately 30 minutes).

By Taxi/Uber

If you are arriving in town by plane, bus, or train, you can also take a taxi. Macalester is approximately 15 minutes from all terminals. The fare should be $20-30.

By Car

Please Note: There will road construction on Grand Avenue between Snelling and Fairview Avenues. Parking will be available on the west side of campus in the lots adjacent to the Janet Wallace Fine Arts Center on Macalester Street, as well as the lot on Snelling Avenue adjacent to the Leonard Athletics Center. These lots are on the southern half of campus but require only a few minutes of walking to the chapel. Road construction will not prohibit movement between our event spaces on campus; Grand Avenue can still be crossed at Snelling Avenue on the east side of the campus block

From Interstate 94: Exit on Snelling Avenue and go south on Snelling Avenue to Grand Avenue. Turn right (west) on Grand Avenue .

From the north on Interstate 35: Take 35E South into St. Paul. Exit to Interstate 94 westbound, and follow the directions above.

From the south on Interstate 35: Take I-35E North into St. Paul. Exit at Ayd Mill Road (exit #104B). At the second light, take a left onto Grand Avenue (westbound). One block after crossing Snelling Avenue, turn left (south) onto Macalester Street.

Parking

Macalester will allow guests to park in campus lots, off of the street. The assigned lots and their locations will be updated soon. Overnight parking will be allowed to minimize any risk of attendees driving under the influence. Substantial street parking exists around campus close to the facilities, but please be mindful of time restrictions.

All events will take place in the northern part of campus. The ceremony will take place in Weyerhauser Memorial Chapel, which is on Grand Avenue, between Snelling Avenue and Macalester Street. The reception will take place in the Alexander G. Hill Ballroom. The ballroom is located on the top floor of the Kagin Commons building, which is on Snelling Avenue between Grand Avenue and Summit Avenue. The entrances to all campus buildings face inwards, away from the street.
